DVD Decrypter

DVD Decrypter Installs itself with the AMVApp... sooooo when you need to rip your DVD, put it in the DVD drve (duh!) then go to Start > Programs > DVD Decrypter, Once it opens it should look like this, If it looks a bit different it could be that the "Mode" is set to "IFO" or "ISO" if this is the case, then you should change the "Mode" to "File" (top options)

Im going to break it down into 3 different areas. First is the Source

If you have multiple dvd drives, you can choose which one you want to use, Also it will tell you which DVD is in the drive. The L and E on the right stand for "Load" and "Eject". These are there so you dont have to hurt yourself by reaching for the eject button on your dvd drive.. what a pain it can be to move...

Next we have the VOB File list.

Here you can select which files you want to rip to your hard drive. Most Anime DVDs have a pretty basic layout and the files containing the episodes are BIG! On the left side yoou will see the names of the files, some are BUP, IFO, and VOB. You will want the Big VOB Files. The size is on the right side. This DVD has its episodes seperated, so you will want to Hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and select the episodes you want. The selected episodes (in blue) will be what you rip to your hard drive. Some VOB files may be smaller then others and may contain things like DVD Extras and/or Textless Openings/Closings. You will also see at the bottom that there are 8 files selected and they will be using roughly 6.5 gigs of space. You can rip the whole DVD if you choose to, but it will take up a bit more space. Also you can choose which VOB files to rip to save some space.

Now that we have the VOB's Selected, lets find a place to store them.

If you click on the folder you can select a place to store the DVD files. As you can see my C drive only has 2 gigs free, so I would not be able to rip this entire dvd. Once you find a drive with proper free space, click the bottom Icon (DVD to Hard Drive) and it will begin ripping your DVD. Some DVDs take longer to rip then others, go get something to drink and eat.

This is the screen showing you what its ripping on the left, as well as how long it has left. On the right are the files remaining to be ripped as well as the progress. If you want to cancel the rip just click the red button on the lower right side.

After You've ripped the DVD's You'll want to make AVS Scripts with DGIndex
